October Newsletter

September 29th, 2009

The month of September was a busy month for Southwest Missouri Safety co. LLC. With classes held in First Aid/CPR, Competent Person (Excavations), 10 hour OSHA, Flagging Safety and traveling to other areas to conduct training. Our new training center in Nixa Mo. is quite successful and we look forward to expanding.

We have several classes already scheduled for the month of October, so be sure to register as soon as possible.  If you need any class that is not listed, please contact us to have the class scheduled.  We are in the business to help you, so our schedule a very flexible with training available on weekends and in the evenings.

Our ability to keep our customers updated on all the new rules from the State and OSHA has created a lot of interest in our Web Site www.swmosafety.com. A visit to the site offers the opportunity to keep abreast on what’s going on in the world of safety. We pride ourselves in providing accurate information. Russ Hinds has received his Hazwoper credentials and is busy with training.

It is interesting that several companies that provide training are taking short cuts and are under investigation by OSHA.  Be careful in the selection of  a company for your training. One company attended an all day class that did not meet the standards set by OSHA.  OSHA investigated the trainer, determined that he did not meet the requirements for the 10 Hour Class and then refuse to issue the cards.  The company that recieved the fraudulent training now has to have their employees retake the training. Make sure your trainer is providing you with training that meets or exceeds the requirements set forth by OSHA.  The training must be a minimum of 10 hours, not counting time taken for breaks or lunch.  Some companies have advertised classes lasting for exactly 10 hours, this is not possible.  Ask your trainer to provide you with their credentials, lesson plan, and their submission paperwork after the class is complete.  You do not want to have your cards revoked or not issued as a result of an unscrupulous individual

We have sparked a lot of interest in our statement on “How To Stop OSHA Citations.” If you would like to find out our method, just contact us. IT WORKS!

We welcome all to come by and visit us at 1607 State Hwy CC, Nixa Mo. or call either Russ at 417-576-4508 or Ron at 417-631-2357.
