OSHA Outreach Training Program New REQUIRED CONTENT

June 7th, 2010

Beginning June 30, 2010 OSHA has made important changes to the 10 Hour & 30 Hour training program.

Changes have been made to the Introduction to OSHA module.  This is to align the program with the Secretary of Labor’s vision of ensuring that all workers have a voice in the workplace.

This new 2-hour module focuses on the importance of workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.  It also includes helpful worker safety and health resources.  The new module utilizes hands-on activities and student handouts.  There are 12 participatory handouts and these are now required to be provided by each instructor for each student.

SWMSC will begin incorporating this new requirement immediately continuing our commitment to providing the most comprehensive and accurate training programs in the Midwest.

Be sure your trainer conducts your course in accordance to all of the regulations required by OSHA.  All classes must meet the minimum time requirement (10 or 30 hours) not counting breaks or lunch.  By not meeting the required time requirements you or your employees are placing their cards in jeopardy.

Contact us today to schedule your class or to inquire about one of our pre-scheduled class.  For more information on our classes click here.
